IMPORTING AND PASTING TEXT ON CorelDraw

You can import text in a new or existing document. This allows you to author text in a word processor and then add it to a coreldraw document. CorelDraw supports the following text file formats:

  • ANSI (TXT)
  •  Microsoft Word Document (DOC)n files
  • Microsoft Word Open XML Document (DOCX) files
  • WordPerfect file (WPD)
  • Rich Text Format (RTF) files


To Import Text in a Document
  • Click File> Import.
  •  Choose the drive and folder where the file is stored
  • Click the filename
  • Click Import
  •  In the importing/pasting text dialog box, choose one the following options: 
    • Maintain fonts and formatting
    •  Maintain formatting only
    • Discard fonts and formatting
  • Choose one of the following:
    • Position the import cursor in the drawing page, and click
    • Click and drag on the drawing page to define the size of the text frame
    • Press the spacebar to place the imported text in the default location.


To Paste Text in a Document
  • Copy or cut text
  • Click Edit > Paste
  • In the importing/pasting text dialog box, enable one of the following options:
    • Maintain fonts and formatting
    • Maintain formatting only
    • Discard fonts and formatting
